Who we are
Saucy Confections is a candy company. We aren’t in the data selling business. We aren’t really in the data collecting business either. That said, there’s a lot of information that your internet connection and web browser provide even before you fill out a single form or place an order. Here is what we do with that data:
IP Address
Your IP is logged during activity on saucyconfections.com. This information is used to help prevent fraud. Mainly for us to not have to process and/or refund fraudulent orders.
Media
Uploaded documents are used for verification purposes only, when required. These documents are kept digitally, but they are private and not shared with anyone. If you would prefer a physical copy be retained instead, please let us know.
Cookies
Cookies are used to provide fundamental functions of an eCommerce site. User accounts, shopping carts, etc. So, we use this data to make everything work.
Who we share your data with
We use trackers for advertising data. So some of your browsing data is shared with Google and Meta (Facebook). Well, it’s more like Google and Facebook share your data with us. We use this information to gage the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
We do not share customer data. We don’t sell customer data. We don’t even know a guy who would buy our customer data.
How long we retain your data
Pretty much indefinitely. The majority of this information becomes less and less relevant the longer you go without visiting us. So while we may still have it, it’s pretty much useless. Any information provided to us, like billing and shipping information, is able to be edited or removed by the user.
What rights you have over your data
Just let us know what you want, and we’ll make it happen. We make a point of not keeping any really important information. Payment instruments, for example, are saved by our payment processor.
